You wait months for a pop legend to appear in Sydney, and then two come along all at once. Just ahead of Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism tour going on sale, news has arrived that Australia’s own Kylie Minogue is embarking on a world tour of her own, starting in 2025. The Tension Tour has been announced in support of her new album, and will feature a pair of dates at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena in March 2025. Here’s all you need to know!
When are the Sydney dates on Kylie Minogue’s Tension Tour?
March 1 & 2 are the dates for your diaries, as Kylie will rock the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney Olympic Park with what’s expected to be a career-spanning setlist. Sydney is the final city on the Australian leg of the Tension Tour; before that she’ll kick off the tour with a stop at RAC Arena in Perth on February 15, head to AEC Arena in Adelaide on February 18, spend two nights at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on February 20 & 21, and then head to Brisbane for a show at Brisbane Entertainment Centre on February 26.
After that, she’s off overseas to Bangkok, Tokyo, Kaohsiung in Taiwan, and Manila (all in March), and then to the UK for a multi-city tour through May 2025.
How do I get tickets to Kylie’s new tour?
Given that this is Kylie Minogue’s biggest tour since 2011, and comes off the back of recent chart success and a Vegas residency, demand for tickets is expected to be pretty high. Tickets go on general sale on September 27, but there’s an exclusive presale for fans in Australia and the UK – you can learn more about it and sign up via her website.
When is Kylie Minogue’s new album released?
Announced a few hours ahead of the news of the world tour, Kylie’s new album is called Tension II. A follow-up to her 2023 album Tension, it’ll feature nine tracks – which we expect will feature prominently on the tour – and the lead single will be released on September 27. The full album arrives on October 18, so you’ve got plenty of time to memorise the songs before the live shows take place!
