Karts District is set to combine high-speed electric karting with augmented reality technology, turning a traditional race track into an interactive playground filled with virtual obstacles, power-ups and changing worlds. Instead of driving the same circuit over and over, racers will weave through holographic courses that shift around the arena, making every session a little different from the last. The headline act is a 600m² augmented reality racing arena where 10 electric karts race across a responsive digital track. Projected obstacles pop up in your path, virtual coins and boosters are up for grabs, and five different racing worlds keep every session fresh. Each race runs for 15 minutes, with software transforming the arena into a different course that rewards quick reactions as much as speed.
There’s plenty happening beyond the track too. Karts District has packed the venue with extra experiences, including X Space, a free-roam VR shooting arena where up to six players can battle it out together without wires. Beat the Hero throws you into a music-fuelled combat game, while Space Ride delivers a trip through the cosmos inside a next-generation simulator pod. Racing fans can sharpen their skills on professional simulators or swap four wheels for wings with a flight experience, and the Super 360 Flight rounds things out with a rotating 360-degree adventure ride for two.
