Christopher Nolan has spent the past few weeks cementing his place as one of Hollywood’s defining filmmakers. With The Odyssey smashing box office records and predicted to become the biggest hit of his career, the Oscar-winning director is enjoying a stellar run. While fans wait to see what’s next, one of his most acclaimed films is returning in spectacular fashion. Interstellar is heading to Australia as a live concert experience, pairing the sci-fi epic with a full orchestra performing Hans Zimmer‘s unforgettable score in sync with every moment on screen. It’s a rare chance to experience the modern classic on a scale that promises to be a treat for longtime fans.
Interstellar in concert
Following a successful run across Europe, Interstellar Live in Concert will arrive in Australia for four performances in March 2027. The production will screen Christopher Nolan’s 2014 sci-fi epic in its entirety while a 65-piece orchestra performs Hans Zimmer’s award-winning score live alongside the film. Original soundtrack organist Roger Sayer, who recorded the iconic organ parts heard throughout Interstellar, will also perform at each Australian show.
Interstellar first arrived in cinemas in 2014 and has since earned a devoted following for its ambitious story, breathtaking visuals and unforgettable score. Zimmer has previously described Interstellar as one of his favourite soundtracks, while tracks such as Cornfield Chase have become some of the composer’s most recognisable pieces.
