Hamilton will resume it’s Sydney season this month before moving to Melbourne next year in March. The award-winning musical was forced to shut down due to the lockdown but is gearing up for a grand return today — October 19.
Hamilton’s Sydney run will now last till February 27 before moving to Melbourne’s Her Majesty Theatre from March 16.

The Australian producer for Hamilton, Michael Cassel, said of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s production that it is ‘musical theatre at its most innovative, original and transformative best’ and is the reason why it needed to come to Australian audiences.
For the uninitiated, Hamilton, The Musical is the story of Alexander Hamilton, the first secretary of the treasury and right-hand man of George Washington during the Revolutionary War. He was a black immigrant from the West Indies and just like his country, he is ‘young, scrappy and hungry’.
