Looking for something fun to do this weekend? A huge free street festival is taking over the Central Coast, bringing live music, delicious food, vibrant markets and family-friendly entertainment to the heart of Gosford. Part of the three-day Gossy Weekender, the lively celebration will transform the city’s streets into a hub of activity, with two music stages, local performers, colourful stalls and plenty to explore. Running this weekend, the festival will feature a packed programme of performances and activities, with Saturday’s free street party set to be one of the biggest highlights. Here’s what you need to know before you plan your trip.
What’s happening at Gossy Weekender?

One of the highlights is Live on Donnison Street, taking place on Saturday, October 17, from 12pm to 6pm. The celebrations will spread across Donnison Street, Kibble Park and Gosford Regional Library, with a full afternoon of entertainment planned.
Australian rock band Beddy Rays will headline the outdoor festivities, joined by an eclectic line-up including Velvet Trip, Redd., Mac the Knife, Charlie Needs Braces and Dom Diaz. Beyond the performances, visitors can browse stalls, join creative workshops or head to the dedicated Kids’ Corner for activities and entertainment designed for younger festivalgoers.
Kibble Park will also have space for picnics, while a pop-up bar by Six String Brewing Co. will cater to adults. The festivities continue beyond Saturday’s street party, with more than 40 artists performing across 16 venues throughout the weekend. Local bars, breweries and entertainment spaces will host everything from indie rock and folk to jazz, pop and electronic music. Sunday’s programme includes live performances at Gosford Sailing Club, with Ruby Shay and Axle Whitehead taking the stage against the backdrop of Brisbane Water.
All festival events are free, although a small number require advance bookings due to limited capacity. The full line-up and programme are available on the official Gossy Weekender website.
