The Grounds has become a force to reckon with over the years and an inimitable name in the hospitality industry in Sydney. So needless to say, when one of the co-founders brings a new café to town, you can expect it to be an experience in and of itself. Brunch fiends will be excited to know that former co-founder of The Grounds Jack Hanna, has officially re-launched The Goodsline café.

Nestled in a sunny, vibrant corner of Pyrmont, the café exudes a warm vibe with a focus on seasonal fresh produce and community living. While it originally opened in early 2021, the café has now been relaunched with a brand new brunch menu, a lively meeting space and of course, some seriously good coffee.

“The Goodsline is all about providing a place for people to gather and connect. That means connecting with friends, family, loved ones, but also with our staff and the wider community. I’ve brought together all the elements that I love about my local café, local restaurant, and local pub to create a warm and vibrant destination for the community of Pyrmont and its surrounds,” Jack Hanna said.

He added: “We’ve completely changed the menu and refurbished the venue to make the café a lot more inviting, and it’s now at a place where I’m proud to re-open the doors.”

Designed by Chef Chris Evanges (formerly of Watsons Bay Hotel), the menu comprises some tried and true brunch favourites including French toast with espresso mascarpone, caramelised walnuts and orange curd, alongside Mushroom chermoula and a Cauliflower toastie.

To add to the festive spirit, main meals will be offered at half-price from Monday-Wednesday. And that’s not all, pet owners can look forward to a Poochie and Pups menu set to be released in early 2022, curated specially for your furry friends.

In a similar vein to The Grounds, The Goodsline leans heavily on design, joining hands with award winning Sydney based, architecture and interior design firm, Luchetti Krelle for the creative fit-out.

The Goodsline is now open. Check out their website for all the details and plan a visit this weekend.
