With days only getting colder in NSW, you can expect a fresh and ripe truffle season this year. Goodfields Eatery in Lindfield has brought back its uber popular truffle menu which consists of six brilliant sweet and savoury dishes to satiate all your truffle cravings.
Goodfields sold almost 30kg of truffle last season and one look at the menu is enough to see why it’s so very popular. Highlights include a sublime savoury truffle donut with a truffled cheesy mushroom filling, hazelnut, truffle pecorino and fresh Australian truffle. Also on the menu is the truffle chicken hotcake and loaded truffle potato gems. Expect lobster tail, beef rib bits, potato gems, truffle cheese sauce, truffle pecorino and toppings of fresh truffle.
Back by popular demand the “Eggs” will feature a delightful mix of scrambled eggs with garlic butter roasted prawns, radicchio, lemon topped on sourdough bread with fresh Australian truffle. There’s also the “Beef Cheek Ragu” with beef cheek braised in truffle and white wine, pappardelle, tarragon, silver beets, truffle pecorino and a dusting of fresh truffle.
The dishes taste just as good as they sound, and the truffle menu has something for everyone. And yes, the entire menu is available for takeaway and pickup 7 days a week from June 11 until the end of truffle season.
