Truffle season is upon us.
Truffles are all the rage at the moment. And with days getting colder in NSW, you can expect a fresh and ripe truffle season this year. To satiate all your truffle cravings — Goodfields Eatery in Lindfield has brought back its uber popular truffle menu. Collaborating with New Zealand honey brand Egmont Honey, the menu contains six brand new sweet and savoury dishes definitely upping the ante this year.
Goodfields sold almost 30kg of truffle last season and with an impending lockdown upon us we highly suggest getting your hands on some of these scrumptious dishes. Highlights include The Wild Mushroom Pasty – a wild mushroom, WA truffle and cheese filled pasty with truffle cheese sauce. You can also expect two extensive truffle honey dishes.
The Egmont fried chicken hotcake — buttermilk fried chicken on a herbed hotcake with a Manuka Honey and truffle whipped butter, topped with truffle. If you want to indulge your sweet tooth you can also opt for the Egmont truffle ice-cream brownie sandwich — truffle ice-cream wrapped in a brownie sandwich, dipped in truffle infused chocolate and topped with Egmont Manuka Honey puffed rice.
The flavours are decadent, and the menu has something for everyone. And yes, the entire menu is available for takeaway and pickup 7 days a week.
