There are plenty of breathtaking national parks for adventure lovers, road trips to escape town and gorgeous beaches for water babies in Sydney. It’s a different story when day turns to night though. If you’re a fan of the supernatural and enjoy a bit of ghostbusting, we’ve got a tour that will genuinely give you the heebie-jeebies. Did you know that Sydney’s very own Royal Botanic Garden hosts a hair-raising Ghostly Garden Tour every couple of weeks? It’s not your ordinary ghost tour either. With Halloween around the corner (!), this is one you wouldn’t want to miss if you’re looking to spice things up.
Ghostly Garden Tour at the Royal Botanic Garden
Wondering what’s so special about this particular ghost tour? For starters, you’ll get exclusive access to the garden after-hours. That’s proximity to hundreds of shadowy trees, creepy grottos and dark ponds. As you meander through the garden, you’ll get to hear tales of myth and legend with a bit of lore and creepy stories from the past intertwined. It also takes place at twilight for maximum effect.
It’s a storytelling event for the books but you’ll want to get in quick because there are only two sessions available in September and two in October. For the 90-minute tour, attendees are required to bring their own torch and wear comfortable shoes. Don’t forget to bring a sense of curiosity along and be prepared for some potentially eerie encounters.
