Fortuna Drink and Eat is the latest entry into Sydney’s Italian food scene. Serving fresh Italian food with a delightful twist the eatery acts as a two-in-one space going from a vibrant cafe at day to a moody restaurant by night. To kick things off, Fortuna is doing a bottomless brunch every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm until late. So if you want a taste of Italy right here at home, you know where to go next.
Fortuna Drink and Eat
For $89 per person, you can get your hands on a full Italian feast and then some. Share from a selection of 7 dishes including marinated olives, marinated tomatoes, herbs burrata and prosciutto paired with freshly baked focaccia, porchetta and crispy, golden roast potatoes. And what’s a bottomless brunch without a generous serving of booze? Sit back with free-flowing Aperol Spritz, Negroni, wine, mimosas and beer as you enjoy the 90-minute session. There’s also a bright mural wall for all your Instagram needs.
The ambient space is spearheaded by hospitality veterans George Nahas and Egon Marzaioli. Other highlights on the menu include their signature spiced pear porridge and fungi bruschetta of portobello mushroom, fermented chilli and scrambled eggs. There’s of course a selection of risottos and pastas to choose from and Italian style sandwiches and salads to round it all off. You can also add two pasta dishes to your bottomless brunch for just $10.
Expect an Italian feast without breaking the bank at Fortuna and don’t be surprised if you end up staying for all three meals. Fortuna is now open Monday-Thursday from 7am-3pm, Friday and Saturday 7am to 10pm and Sunday 7am to 4pm.
