The Fantastic Film Festival
Cinephiles are in for a treat with the organisers scouring the globe for some truly remarkable films. The festival opens with the first screening of the highly anticipated film, The Northman. The action-packed viking drama is helmed by acclaimed Director Robert Eggars (The Witch, The Lighthouse) and stars Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman and Anya Taylor-Joy. Tickets include drinks and a DJ performance prior to the film screening at midnight.
Sundance darling We’re All Going to the World’s Fair — a mysterious coming-of-age and horror story about a teen who immerses herself in a role-playing horror game online is also a part of the line-up. Other highlights include a screening of The Full Monty where the audience is encouraged to watch the movie in the nude to fully embrace it’s message and spirit.
A 4K restoration of the 1981 cult film Possession plus sci-fi western fantasy flick After Blue are on the cards as well. The festival will close with New York Ninja, a movie that was on shot in 1984 but not released until 2021.
Festival goers can expect a total of 22 feature films, 8 shorts and a number of special events including talks with filmmakers. Find more information about the program plus ticket details here.
