Now there’s another reason to plan your next trip. A new luxury day spa has opened at Ardour Lilianfels in Katoomba, bringing mineral pools, saunas, steam rooms and a menu of indulgent treatments to the heritage hotel. Èliva Blue Mountains is the latest location from the contemporary Australian wellness brand, following openings in Coogee and the Southern Highlands, and arrives as part of a multimillion-dollar transformation of the iconic property. The spa features four treatment rooms, with everything on offer from full-body massages, advanced facials and more intensive recovery rituals. Every visit begins at the Signature Oil Bar, where guests can personalise their treatment with botanical oils such as avocado, macadamia, grapeseed and apricot, alongside Èliva’s own essential oil blend inspired by the Blue Mountains.
One of the signature treatments combines a full-body massage with back exfoliation and a personalised facial, finishing with either champagne or tea. Other options draw on the natural surroundings, including a forest bathing-inspired experience that uses eucalyptus rose gum rollers to release tension. For something more intensive, there’s also a two-hour mineral treatment using Hungarian Moor Mud, paired with a scalp treatment, facial and massage.
The spa also offers plenty of space to unwind between treatments, including a recovery lounge with a vibroacoustic bed that combines gentle vibrations with sound. Elsewhere around the hotel, guests will find the newly redesigned Lounge bar, along with additions including caviar service, a dedicated cheese experience, a wine wall and an elevated take on high tea.

Ardour Lilianfels is located in Katoomba, around a 90-minute drive from Sydney via the M4 and Great Western Highway.
