In celebration of the centenary anniversary of The Walt Disney Company, a magical evening of music, animation and tales as old as time is coming to Australia. Disney 100: The Concert will feature star-studded performances and three of Australia’s premiere orchestras. Songs from memorable films like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid and The Lion King will come to life with animation projected live on the big screen. Contemporary songs from Moana, Frozen, Encanto and Mulan will also be performed. It’s all going down early next year courtesy of MM Creative Productions.
Disney 100: The Concert
If you’re obsessed with all things Disney, now’s your chance to unabashedly revel in your love for it. Get transported to worlds far and beyond and give in to the nostalgia with this enchanting concert. The cast includes Amy Manford (The Phantom of the Opera) and Genevieve McCarthy (The Spy Who Dumped Me) together with a symphony orchestra led by conductor Jessica Gethin. The
Sydney Symphony Orchestra will be spearheading the music with local Brisbane and Perth orchestras. Manford and McCarthy are also the forces behind MM Creative Productions — the first female-founded organisation to secure the rights to the Disney In Concert brand globally. We’re here for it.
“This brand-new production is bound to dazzle devotees whilst capturing the hearts of a whole new generation of Disney fans,” McCarthy said.
