Darling Harbour Gets An Ice Rink For The School Holidays (But It’s Not Just For The Kids)

Stars On Ice take over Darling Harbour and turn it into a Frozone skating rink.

From Saturday, September 26 to Sunday, October 11, the ICC forecourt in Darling Harbour is getting an ice rink. And not just any-old ice rink. This is a Stars On Ice rink, meaning that this is a quality skate and the only person to blame for getting a wet bum is yourself.

And don’t let the school-holiday timing fool you into thinking this is an event just for the kids. Nope, not at all. With the ice-rink operating til 9pm (the last session is at 8pm), the fun is meant to be had by adults as well. And what can be more romantic than an ice-skating rink date leading up to Christmas? Can’t you just imagine you and your date skating hand-in-hand, gracefully doing laps?

Even if that’s not your thing, there’s still plenty of fun to be had sliding across the ice like trying to remain upright. It’s a great exercise in control and stability. Walk-ups are welcome; however, to secure a skate, it’s best to book before you go.

Woody and Buzz have also returned for the school holidays. Make sure you say Hey at Pixar Putt.
