A dazzling fireworks display is coming to Cockle Bay and it’s all in support for a good cause. From Saturday, April 9, Darling Harbour will be lit up in hues of blue and yellow, in support of the people who have been impacted in Ukraine because of the ongoing war with Russia. In partnership with Australia for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the fireworks aim to raise funds for Ukrainian refugees who have been forced to flee their homes.
You can view the fireworks every Saturday until May 14, along the harbour including from waterfront restaurants and bars along Cockle Bay Wharf, Harbourside Shopping Centre, King Street Wharf and Barangaroo.
Keep an eye out for UNHCR’s team who will be on site and consider donating if you are able to. The Darling Harbour fireworks spectacular starts at 8:30pm every Saturday.
