The Lunar New Year is about to kick off in Sydney with festive lantern displays, delicious eats and lots of fun events. If you’re looking to usher in the Year of the Dragon in style, we’ve got just the event for you. Darling Harbour is bringing mesmerising drone shows throughout February in celebration of the new year. Watch the skies above the waterfront precinct explode with light and colour across three nights symbolising good luck, prosperity, and the mighty Dragon.
Drone shows, Lunar New Year
In a stunning showcase of light and technology, 300 synchronised drones will take to the skies for a short but no doubt memorable show of 10 minutes over Darling Harbour. And the best part? It’s completely free to attend. The drone shows are planned across three nights:
- Friday, February 9 at 9pm
- Friday, February 16 at 9pm
- Friday, February 23 at 9pm
Weekends are looking alive for the month of February with a bunch of festive activities set to take over Sydney. On Saturday nights, you can look forward to thrilling jet-pack shows with performers reaching for the skies above Cockle Bay and Sunday nights will pack a punch with dazzling fireworks displays.
