Sydney might be a world away from the industrial streets of Birmingham, but the Shelby family’s world is coming to the city. Candlelight: Peaky Blinders arrives at St Stephen’s Uniting Church on Macquarie Street, bringing the series’ brooding soundtrack to a candlelit setting illuminated by thousands of candles.
Candlelight’s tribute list keeps getting longer. Bridgerton, Disney Love Songs, WB Horror and Outlander have all had the candlelit treatment, and now it’s the turn of a family that dresses better than all of them combined.

Created by Steven Knight, Peaky Blinders follows Tommy Shelby and his family through post-First World War Birmingham. Across six seasons, the BBC drama became known for its distinctive visual style and its unexpected pairing of period storytelling with modern rock.
Music plays a big part in that atmosphere. The concert features tracks associated with the series, including ‘Red Right Hand’ and ‘Do I Wanna Know?’, reimagined for a candlelit performance
St Stephen's Uniting Church
The concert runs for around an hour, with thousands of candles illuminating St Stephen’s Uniting Church. There’s no dress code, but if you have a newsboy cap tucked away, this could be the occasion to bring it out.
