After four years Bruno Mars is set to make a huge return down under. The record-breaking artist will be in Sydney to open the brand-new Allianz Stadium in Moore Park.
The Stadium will open its doors to the public in September this year. The original stadium, also known as Sydney Football Stadium was demolished in 2019. One of seven Allianz Stadiums around the world, the state-of-the-art venue will be unveiled on August 28. Headlined by Guy Sebastian and Baker Boy, the stadium will host its first NRL match on September 2 between NRL’s Roosters and Rabbitohs.
Mars is set to perform on October 14 and 15 in celebration of the opening. The fourteen-time Grammy Award winner and thirty-time Grammy award nominee has sold a staggering 200 million singles worldwide. One of the best-selling artists of all time, he has previously completed 3 sold out tours in Australia. The singer-songwriter will now perform two huge shows in Sydney thanks to Destination NSW and Teg Dainty.
“It’s incredibly exciting to welcome audiences back to Allianz Stadium in the heart of Sydney and who better to lead the opening celebrations than the legendary, record-breaking artist Bruno Mars, these opening shows will go down in history as not to be missed,” Paul Dainty AM, President and CEO of Teg Dainty, said.
Tickets go on presale on Monday, August 8th at 1pm and general sale on Thursday, August 11th at 1pm.
