The Shire’s popular Blackwood Pantry has opened a new all-day dining venue in the heart of Bondi. Open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Bondi breakfast crowd can expect a vibrant dining scene and a variety of Aperol highlights. Michelin-star-trained, co-owner and Executive Chef, Rob Lechowicz spearheads this latest venture along with Daniel Sorridimi and Paul Pisani.
Blackwood, Bondi
The sister branch of Blackwood in Cronulla has made waves over the years for their exceptional food and drink offerings. Also a beachside venture, their USP lies in their delightful brunches that always hit the spot.
Their Bondi outpost promises the same experience but with an extra edge. Head for casual dining from Friday to Sunday or make your way straight from the beach for snacks and aperitivo. On their extensive menu you’ll find their popular blueberry and ricotta hotcakes along with other Cronulla favourites like the Schnitty Schnitty Bang Bang, Nourish Bowls and Green Goddess Salad. And yes the beloved Miso Avo also features on the menu.
The seasonal menu is heavily inclined towards Mediterranean flavours, to compliment the interiors with a touch of Asian and Australian flavours to boot. Excitingly, one of Sydney’s most prominent bars, Maybe Sammy will be serving cocktails by night.
The evening menu includes chargrilled split prawns, pecorino-crumbed veal cotoletta and truffle casarecce to go with a number of Aperol options. One to try: a Breakfast Club martini with gin and yuzu marmalade.
As for the interiors, expect pleasing forest green hues with textured green stone floor which evokes all the beachside vibes.
Blackwood Bondi is now open and you can make your booking via their official website.
