It’s the season for live orchestras and screenings with Love Actually in Concert coming to our shores next month and Princess Bride opening at the Opera House next year. Also getting the orchestral treatment is Marvel blockbuster Black Panther set to screen with a full orchestra at the Opera House’s Concert Hall. Although the sequel has already opened in cinemas, this event will screen the original 2018 feature in an Australian premiere.

Presented for the very first time in Australia, acclaimed conductor Anthony Parnther and Tama master Massamba Diop lead the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in this live showing of the 2018 blockbuster movie.
The superhero film opened to rave reviews upon its release eventually earning seven Oscar nominations and winning three. The film was also lauded for its universal appeal, excellent performances and absorbing storyline.
If on the off-chance you haven’t watched it, the movie follows the journey of T’Challa who has been crowned the new king of Wakanda. The story sees him going head-to-head with his old enemy Killmonger portrayed by Michael B Jordan.
If you’ve already seen it, you can experience it again this time with a live orchestra elevating the overall experience.
