Airbnb is starting the year by revealing both last year’s travel trends and what eager travellers have their eyes set on in 2023. 2022 was the year of pools, beaches and iconic cities and 2023 is looking to be more of the same with not one but 3 Australian cities making the cut in the top 10 trending travel spots for international travel. Sydney and Melbourne took the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively with Perth sitting pretty at number 9 which is hardly a surprise since all 3 cities tick all those boxes and then some. Last year Airbnb also revealed the most wishlisted and unique airbnb destinations in the country and the most dreamy winter getaways if you want to start planning ahead this year and snag a stay.
