How does NSW compare nationally?

The research examined Google Maps listings for McDonald’s restaurants across Australia, with 887 open locations and more than 1.45 million reviews included in the final ranking.
McDonald’s Melville, in Perth’s Myaree suburb, took first place nationally with 3.96 stars from 2,599 reviews. Haberfield followed at 3.94 stars, while a McDonald’s at the BP service centre in Stapylton, Queensland, rounded out the national top three with 3.93 stars.
The average rating across the 887 restaurants was 3.29 stars, placing Haberfield comfortably above the national benchmark.
The data was collected on 5th October 2026, and the restaurants were ranked using their exact average ratings, calculated from individual one- to five-star reviews rather than Google’s rounded display scores.
Of course, Google ratings can change as new reviews roll in, but for now, these 10 NSW locations are leading the pack when it comes to customer scores.
