A new nationwide study of Australia Post outlets has put Kingsway West Post Office in Kingsgrove at the top of NSW’s rankings, with a 4.93-star average from 220 reviews.
Austral Post Office follows closely behind with 4.91 stars from 695 reviews, while Berowra Post Office takes third place with 4.90 stars from 50 reviews.
The rankings cover 814 Australia Post outlets nationwide, with NSW claiming four of the country’s 10 highest-rated locations. However, the state also accounts for seven of Australia’s 10 lowest-rated post offices, highlighting the wide gap in customer ratings across the network.

Kingsway West Post Office has NSW’s highest rating
With 4.93 stars from 220 Google reviews, Kingsway West Post Office has taken the top spot in NSW and ranks among the four highest-rated outlets in Australia.
Moreover, Austral Post Office comes in second, recording 4.91 stars from 695 reviews. Its high rating across a much larger pool of customer feedback makes it one of the standout entries in the rankings.
Berowra Post Office rounds out the top three with 4.90 stars from 50 reviews, followed by Sydney Markets Post Office in Homebush West, which averages 4.84 stars from 97 reviews.

Smithfield West Post Office in Wetherill Park and Milperra Post Office both display an average of 4.68 stars. However, Smithfield West ranks higher because the analysis uses more precise averages to distinguish between outlets with the same rounded score.
How does NSW compare with the rest of Australia?
NSW accounts for four of the country’s 10 highest-rated post offices, alongside three in Victoria: Wantirna, Batman in Coburg and Brentford Square in Forest Hill.
Moreover, across all qualifying outlets, Victoria recorded an average rating of 3.05 stars from 246 post offices, narrowly ahead of NSW’s 3.00 stars across 240 outlets.
However, the results look considerably different at the bottom of the rankings. NSW has seven of Australia’s 10 lowest-rated post offices and accounts for 23 of the 38 outlets nationwide averaging below two stars.
Bracken Ridge in Brisbane recorded Australia’s lowest rating, at just 1.40 stars from 265 Google reviews. Noble Park in Victoria ranked second-lowest, followed by the Australia Post outlet inside Westmead Hospital.
Meanwhile, Batman Post Office in Coburg had the highest number of reviews in the national dataset, with 1,459.
How the rankings were calculated
The analysis examined Google Maps listings for 814 open Australia Post outlets nationwide, using data collected in October 2026. It included licensed post offices and post shops with at least 50 Google reviews, excluding parcel lockers, parcel collection points, delivery and business centres, mail facilities, closed outlets and listings without an outlet name.
Researchers calculated each outlet’s average from its individual one- to five-star review counts rather than relying on Google’s rounded display rating. They used the unrounded averages to determine the rankings, with the higher proportion of one-star reviews breaking an exact tie. State averages gave each qualifying post office equal weight.
So, with ratings ranging from 4.64 to 4.93 stars, NSW’s top 10 highlight the post offices earning the strongest customer feedback across the state.
