Bar 83 is serving up champagne and stunning sunsets.
Sitting 300 metres above the ground, Bar 83 can fairly safely lay claim to some of the best-uninterrupted views of sunsets anywhere in the world. With floor-to-ceiling windows and 260-degree views of the city and its surroundings, the bar is definitely making good use of Sydney’s natural and built features. (Featured image: bar83sydneytower)
As part of the Trippas White Group’s $12m refit of Sydney Tower, Bar 83 has been transformed and once again soars above the rest of the city. Many of the bar’s internal walls have been removed to allow for sunset and skyline vistas from pretty much anywhere inside and it has also had a retro-futuristic makeover with striking red, gold and white details throughout the space.
The result is a stunning cocktail lounge that is both stylish and pops with energy. With an equally fabulous cocktail list by award-winning bartender Jenna Hemsworth, Bar 83 is one of the best places to sit back, drink up and experience Sydney on another level.
But to really experience what’s on offer, Bar 83 has put together three ‘Sunset Seeker’ packages (starting from $120) for you and someone special to take advantage of. The three packages offer a two-hour sitting starting from either 6:30pm or 6:45pm with a bottle of bubbles to accompany your time together. As night falls, you’ll be treated to a tasting plate and/or half-a-dozen to a dozen oysters and a selection of sweet treats depending on the package you selected.
You could then hit the pavement and find another stunning bar for drinks or make reservations to spend the night among the clouds at Infinity—the new high-dining restaurant replacing the outdated 360 Bar and Dining.
Infinity is headed up by Mike Dierlinger of Bridge Room fame and will focus on modern-Australian cuisine with an international twist that Dierlinger has picked up on his travels around the world and his time working in Michelin-star and hatted restaurants throughout Europe, south-east Asia and Australia.
Dierlinger is also helping guide the menu creation for Bar 83, so those sipping on cocktails in the luxury lounge can also feast on great food and not just on 260-degree views.
Bar 83 has also joined SkyFeast, the rebranded buffet on level two, to offer Sydneysiders, and not just tourists, an off-the-scale experience in the Golden Bucket.
