Wendy’s Secret Garden may be one of Sydney’s worst-kept secrets but that hasn’t stopped it from being crowned one of the best hidden gems in all of Australia. The leafy spot has been a local favourite for over 20 years, offering a quiet, contemplative corner to Sydneysiders in the heart of the city. Tour operator and software provider Bókun has now ranked it 3rd on a list of best-hidden gems in Australia after analysing Tripadvisor reviews of over 1,000 destinations across the country. Stokes Bay Beach in South Australia and Panorama Garden Estate in Victoria took out the top 2 spots.

Wendy’s Secret Garden wasn’t the only place in NSW that made the list. The Drip Gorge, a stunning sandstone gorge with rock formations in the Goulburn River State Conservation Area made it to the list at number 5 with The Rocks Discovery Museum voted number 7. The museum tells the story of The Rocks through a collection of images and archaeological artefacts and it’s one of the sweetest things to do with kids in Sydney.
