There’s an acclaimed pianist and an experienced sommelier who want to take you on a round-the-world trip through the perfect pairing of wine and music without ever having to step foot on a plane. All you need to do is purchase a ticket and show up at the right time and date to Foundry 616 in Ultimo—just like you would if you were boarding a plane.
Guests onboard the Around The World In 88 Keys tour will be entertained by concert pianist Van-Anh Nguyen whose 2020 Peaceful Piano Essentials album topped the Aria Classical Charts. This concert continues Nguyen’s ‘Perfect Pairings’ series, a concept that pairs music with wine, and will transport those at the Ultimo jazz club with the pianist’s newest works.
Wines have been chosen by expert and experienced sommelier Angelica Nohra of Direct Wine Cellars. The selection crisscrosses the globe, from the vineyards of France to the mountains of Argentina, an adventure in Chile and back around to the Mediterranean with a gorgeous Italian drop.
With tangos and Malbecs, classical and Chardonnays, you’ll be carried away by your hosts.
Guests at ‘Perfect Pairings’: Around the World in 88 Keys can choose to experience the concert only at Ultimo’s Foundy 616 jazz club with concert-only tickets costing just $40. To pair the music with the wine and sip the afternoon away on Sunday 20 March, grab concert and wine tickets for $80—not a bad price for five wines and a solo piano recital.
