Aldi is launching a fancy new wine bar — minus the fancy price tag. The boujee new bar is set to be the cheapest night out you’ve had in a while with tickets priced at just $4.41 each. We’re not kidding. At the Trophy Room, you’ll find a number of wines, gins and cheeses with prices reflecting the retail costs of each serve. That’s $0.83 for a Pinot Grigio and $2.49 for a Pinot Noir among others. Even the cheeses come with a ridiculously low price tag with a triple cream brie for $0.56, and a smooth blue cheese for just $0.62.
Aldi Trophy Room
With inflation and costs at a sky-high, this couldn’t have come at a better time. Allowing Sydneysiders a chance to enjoy a luxury night-out without worrying about the prices, the temporary pop-up will be around for two nights only. Your experience will include a glass of gin on arrival, a choice of fine wine from the tasting selections and a delicious deluxe platter of cheese to dig into. And yep, it’ll all cost you under $5.
Wondering what else is on the menu? Grab wines from South Point Estate and McLaren Vale priced at $0.83 and $1.99 respectively. Or munch on Spanish Manchego cheese for just 90 cents and rich, crumbly cheddar for just 50 cents.
There are a number of other impressive and elegant wines from Aldi’s award-winning range on offer. And while we suspect they won’t compete with a bottle of Penfolds Grange Hermitage shiraz, for the price you really can’t complain.
The Trophy Room is a first for Aldi Australia and promises a luxe experience to attendees. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 8 at 9am. Click here for all the details and don’t forget to set an alarm.
