A huge summer of live music is coming to the Sydney. On The Steps has unveiled its biggest-ever line-up, bringing 12 nights of live music to the Sydney Opera House Forecourt from 28th November to 12th December.
The 2026 series will feature Australian favourites DMA’S, Spacey Jane and The Amity Affliction alongside international heavyweights James Blake, Wolf Alice, Rise Against and Dizzee Rascal. With increased capacity and up to 7,000 fans per show, more than 50,000 people are expected to attend across the season.
12 nights of Australian and international music

The series opens on 28th November with Australian rock legends Australian Crawl, joined by Boom Crash Opera. The following night, Pub Choir brings its Ultimate PDA to the Forecourt, featuring Ben Lee, Miles Phillips of Eastern Rosellas and the Australian Youth Orchestra.
Then, from there, the programme spans punk, indie, electronic and country, with Rise Against and Dropkick Murphys taking over on 1st December, followed by Mercury Prize-winning artist James Blake on 2nd December.
Hometown heroes DMA’S will play their biggest show to date on 3rd December, with Automatic supporting, before British rockers Wolf Alice arrive on 4th December alongside Folk Bitch Trio and Swapmeet.
“Big respect to the Opera House for having us. It’s a great stage with a lot of history. This is the biggest show we’ve put together so we’re stoked to have the privilege—see you this summer,” DMA’S said.
Also, other highlights include Dizzee Rascal’s sold-out 5th December performance, country singer-songwriter Dylan Gossett on 6th December and Suki Waterhouse, who kicks off the Australian leg of her Loveland tour on 8th December.
Spacey Jane will play two sold-out shows on 10th and 11th December, while The Amity Affliction, Thornhill and WAAX will close the series on 12th December.
The music series is supporting Australia’s music workers

Also, alongside the live music, On The Steps will once again partner with Support Act, the Australian music industry’s charity, which provides financial assistance and mental health support to music workers experiencing illness, injury or personal crises.
Moreover, fans can get involved by purchasing official On The Steps merchandise, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the charity. Voluntary donations will also be available when purchasing tickets, as well as for any Live Nation show across Australia throughout November.
“On The Steps is a celebration of live music and our partnership with the event series is a chance to give back to the people who make it possible,” said Clive Miller, CEO of Support Act.
