A new nationwide analysis has named NSW’s worst-rated Australia Post office, with Westmead Post Office scoring just 1.46 stars out of five from 325 Google reviews.

How does NSW compare nationally?

NSW features heavily among the country’s lowest-rated post offices, accounting for seven of the national bottom 10. Across the state, 23 of the 38 outlets averaging below two stars are also located in NSW.
Bracken Ridge in Brisbane takes the unwanted title of Australia’s lowest-rated post office, with 1.40 stars from 265 reviews. Noble Park in Victoria follows, ahead of Westmead in third place.
However, the broader state averages tell a more balanced story. Across the 240 NSW post offices included in the analysis, the average rating sits at 3.00 stars. Victoria’s 246 outlets perform marginally better, averaging 3.05 stars.
Victoria also features prominently at the other end of the rankings, with three of Australia’s 10 highest-rated post offices located in the state: Wantirna, Batman in Coburg and Brentford Square in Forest Hill.
The study examined 814 open Australia Post outlets nationwide, including licensed post offices and post shops, with at least 50 Google reviews.
They calculated each outlet’s exact average from its individual one- to five-star ratings, rather than relying on Google’s rounded display scores. Rankings use the unrounded averages, with the proportion of one-star reviews breaking an exact tie. State averages give each post office equal weight.
Ratings can change as customers leave new reviews, so the order may shift over time. For now, these are the rankings based on the October 2026 data.
