Sydney’s spring market season is in full swing, with plenty of opportunities to shop, eat and enjoy the warmer weather outdoors. This weekend, a brand-new event is joining the calendar in southern Sydney, bringing a wide variety of stalls, international street food, live entertainment and activities for the whole family to a waterfront park. Organised by Cambridge Markets, the inaugural Carss Park Spring Market will take over Carss Bush Park this weekend with everything from handmade goods and sweet treats to free children’s entertainment. Best of all, entry is completely free. Planning a weekend outing? Here’s everything you need to know.
Carss Park Spring Market launches this weekend

Around 100 stalls will be set up across the park, offering a mix of locally made products, fashion, homewares, jewellery, candles and specialty foods. Shoppers can browse handmade timber art from The Woodshed Sydney, pick up summer hats from Janelle Sutton & Associates, or find treats for their pets at The Pawfect Butcher.
Food is a major highlight, with vendors serving dishes from around the world. Expect smash burgers from Pound for Pound Burger, Greek souvlaki from Damaskos, African dishes from Dabakh African Cuisine, Spanish paella from Ola Lola and hearty handmade dumplings from XIAO MI Potsticker. Those with a sweet tooth can look forward to baklava from Loaded Baklava, Thai coconut pancakes from Khanomkrok and a selection of other desserts. Coffee will be available from Fusion Foundations, alongside refreshing drinks and craft spirits from Finders Distillery.
Families can also enjoy a full program of activities throughout the day, including a puppet show, giant bubbles, arts and crafts and other free entertainment for children. Kids’ rides will be available, along with live music adding to the atmosphere. The market’s location beside Carss Point Baths also makes it a great opportunity to linger, with shaded areas and open lawns overlooking Kogarah Bay.
