Sung Kang is heading to Sydney. The actor best known to millions of fans as Han in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift will appear at SESSION 2026 at White Bay Cruise Terminal on Saturday, 28th November, bringing his latest automotive passion project, Drifter, with him.
Kang will appear as a special international guest as part of the film’s world tour, giving Australian fans the chance to meet the actor behind one of the franchise’s most enduring characters while immersing themselves in the car culture that has long been woven through his career.
Written, directed, produced and starring Kang, Drifter brings together his passions for filmmaking, drifting and automotive culture.
For fans who know him as Han, aka “Tree”, the SESSION appearance offers a rare chance to see Kang in person—this time in a setting built around the automotive world that helped make his most famous character a cultural icon.
From Han to Drifter

Kang’s connection with car culture runs much deeper than his role in Tokyo Drift. As the creator and star of Drifter, he has brought those interests into a new film project, combining filmmaking with the world of drifting and automotive culture. The film’s global promotional tour will now make a stop in Australia.
The Sydney appearance also comes with a particularly intriguing local collaboration. According to SESSION organisers, Kang’s visit will coincide with a build of the first LOLA for Australian fans by LAPZERO and Celestial JDM.
SESSION is coming back bigger

SESSION launched in 2025 and is returning in 2026 with a larger-scale automotive exhibition at White Bay Cruise Terminal.
Organisers are dividing this year’s event into three zones—past, present and future—designed to trace the evolution of automotive culture while looking towards what comes next.
The exhibition will bring together local and international brands, automotive technology, live demonstrations, expert panels, automotive personalities, networking sessions and a modified-vehicle competition.
Organisers are also promising vehicle unveilings of “world’s first calibre”, alongside food and drinks throughout the day. For car obsessives, SESSION will move from automotive nostalgia to cutting-edge technology, bringing iconic builds, new innovations and the people shaping car culture into one exhibition.
The event is open to all ages, with children under 12 admitted free with a paying adult. Vehicle registrations are now open, while early-bird tickets are currently on sale.
