Who doesn’t love a drive-in movie? There is an unbeatable charm to the whole experience. It’s old-fashioned, nostalgic and heaps of fun. Now that we’re in the middle of summer, the idea of a late movie at the drive-in post sunset is even more delightful. Luckily for us, the Sunset Drive-in Cinema is back and hosting some brilliant movies, this time in North Sydney, so get ready to soak in all the outdoor movie magic we’ve missed out on in the last year.

Sunset Drive-in Cinema

Hosted at the North Sydney Oval, the Sunset Drive-in cinema runs Wednesday through to Sunday, across 3 months, with a stellar line-up of movies on offer.

The program includes two Marvel blockbusters — Spiderman: No Way Home and Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Get into the holiday spirit with classics like Home Alone and Love Actually or indulge the kid in you with Disney’s animated adventure Encanto. You can also check out Daniel Craig’s final James Bond offering No Time To Die, and it’s only appropriate to watch it on the big screen.

There’s something for everyone this season of Sunset Drive-in Cinema and you’ll want to make the most of it while the sun is finally shining down on us.

And what’s a movie without some popcorn? Soak in the gorgeous summer vibes with Sunset’s freshly popped popcorn and classic choc tops.

There are heaps of other food options available on site and you can also pre-order a grazing platter with a delicious selection of cheeses.

Along with food, you can beat the heat with a refreshing G&T courtesy of Greenalls Gin and StrangeLove mixers at the Sunset Bar or get a bubbly from Fowles Wines.

Tickets range from just $14 – $21 and gates open at 6:30pm with the movie starting at last light around 8:00pm. You can also hire a cosy bean bag or lawn lounge for an extra price to really make the most of the alfresco event.
