Moama Lights is an embodiment and celebration of all things art, light and colour. From July 31 to August 21, Horseshoe Lagoon will be transformed into a vivid display of light and installations. Moama’s stunning festival aims to portray the lively spirit and story of the Murray border community — Echuca Moama through their many varied events.

The show will feature exemplary light displays along with installations and projections. State-of-the-art light technology will be incorporated along the 600-metre-long lit-up trail of the Horseshoe Lagoon. You can foray into a field of vivid native flowers surrounded by spectacular light displays and soak in the rich culture of the community. In its line-up of events — the show is also set to feature individual acts including Echuca Moama indigenous culture, riverboat heritage and present-day life.
As you make your way along the rich Australian bushland in the area, you’ll be enveloped in a vibrant light display with a theatrical fog surrounding you. The Murray River will also light up in a scintillating display of colour for the finale. Moama Lights is organised by the Murray River Council and Visit River Country.
