Kiama Picnic Train: Special Christmas Rides
The trip cuts through pockets of dense bushland and cliffs, with the coastline never too far from view. The vintage setting of the train adds to the experience, think old-school heritage seating, compartments, booths, and (depending on your ticket) access to an air-conditioned lounge or dining car. There’s a small buffet on board with basic snacks and drinks, but most people bring their own food to make it a proper picnic train experience.
Once you reach Kiama, you’ll have a good chunk of free time to explore. The big drawcards are all close by: the world-famous blowhole, a short section of the Kiama Coastal Walk, the surf beach, and the rock pools.
